1. What made you want to work at OneDash?
At first, it was the challenge that interested me – how can we revolutionise, and enhance, digital video for businesses across all sectors? When I arrived, I immediately found myself in good company. It has been inspiring to work with an unbelievably driven and talented team who are all on the same page. A special mention to Ray, Charles, Richard, Laura, and Irah for making OneDash such a brilliant place to work.
2. What does a typical day look like for you?
I should say my daily routine starts with the team’s creative meeting – in which we determine our current priorities and objectives – but, in reality, it starts with coffee! After this, a big part of my morning is always dedicated to research. Continuing OneDash’s growth as a business requires a rich tapestry of ideas, so i’m always reading and gathering inspiration, while also discovering what new challenges can be solved by OneDash’s platform.
As a fresh, unique product there’s a need to promote education, as well as to drive adoption for the solution. That’s why, when we open conversations with prospective clients, I deploy OneDash’s technology in our proposals and projects straight away to really bring home its amazing capabilities.
3. Is there a particular campaign or piece of branding you’ve done for OneDash for which you’re most proud?
Since I began working for OneDash in July 2020, we’ve undergone a full rebrand and recreated our tone of voice, using vibrant, rhythmic video. Every creative success has started from there, and we’ve achieved remarkable outcomes with our interactive technologies, particularly through our integration with Amazon. As part of this partnership, we recently delivered great results for Marie Claire UK, using interactive, shoppable technology to boost engagement with the fashion and beauty magazine’s social channels. This is just one example of a campaign i’m very proud of.
4. Describe your job at OneDash in one word
5. Is there anything coming up on the creative side that you’re particularly excited about?
Our new, colourful, fully-rebranded website is due to launch very soon. It will be even more user-friendly and detail the latest solutions we have developed for our clients. OneDash is so much more than a platform for interactive video – we’re also entering the training and mentoring space with a focus on production for truly creative, interactive content. I’m looking forward to bringing our customers a deeper level of support and success.
6. Who do you admire most in the design industry and why?
For me, creativity isn’t defined by one individual alone – there is always something to learn, every day, from other creatives and their works. Refining your style and understanding what works, as well as what doesn’t, is a long journey influenced by those you’re surrounded by, look up to, and connect with. I’ve learned the best ideas are the simplest, but simple doesn’t necessarily mean easy. We operate in a complicated world where truly creative, inspirational ideas can be well-hidden, but thankfully that world is also full of incredible talent. Creatives shouldn’t be confined by the notion that a single creator, or idea, is perfect. Spend time observing, learning, and above all critiquing your own work. No version of a project is ever final.
